What is the actually process to get married?
is it only submited in the state in which you marry? who else knows besides the name change so i assume bank, dmv, is your marriage license submited else where?
Answer 1 is correct but to answer your question the marriage will be public record for all to see but only if there looking . The name changes and all require alot of work and believe me no one does it for you the only way some one will know is if they look it up for some reason its not automatically submited when you do your name changes you have to bring it with you to prove your married.

You get the marriage license in the state you are getting married in, but once you are married it’s recognized in all 50 states. You file for the license and you need you, your partner, a witness, your Id’s, SS cards and some money to pay for the license. After you are married you change your name with the DMV and Social Security office, also you would want to change your name on bank accounts, loans, mortgages, credit cards, etc etc.
