Adobe Updates Photoshop Express

Adobe on Thursday issued a number of updates to its Photoshop Express beta, the company’s online photo management tool originally introduced back in March.

Among the new features being introduced this round is an updated Uploader powered by Adobe Air, which lets users drag and drop photos from their desktop directly into the browser app. Photoshop Express can now also print directly from online photo management tool Shutterfly.

Adobe has also enhanced the app’s slideshow feature, letting users add beds of music. A new one-click resize tool has also been introduced with mobile, e-mail, and Web presets. The latest version of Photoshop Express also makes it possible to download photos from any public collection, while keep a copy in their favorites folder.

Adobe took Photoshop Express down over the weekend, in order to implement these new features.

What is the difference between molasses and treacle?

I keep reading that they are the same thing? Also what is Golden Syrup then?

 

Treacle is less refined than molasses, therefore it is darker in colour. Molasses is” Made from sugar cane. The roots of the sugar cane are deep and therefore able to receive a broad-spectrum of minerals & trace elements. Black strap molasses is the liquor after removal of the crystalised sugar.”
Golden syrup is more refined again and therefore lighter in colour and higher in sugar content. This is used for desserts etc.
Molasses has a strong flavour and is not suitable for desserts.

How Long Should I…?

Ok, I really hate my body, so tomorrow… I’m adding more time to my biking. no more soda, and starting healthy food. How long should I ride my bike a day? I do about 30 min now.

`go by the distance than the time. You’ll soon get muscles, lower down your weight in about 3 weeks. Next thing you know, you’ll be a healthy muscular stick

goood GO FOR IT :) jus make sure u also eat enough remeber that that’s important dont go under 1200cals and for bike ride 30mins is good but i do 20mins bike with weight training for about 40 so i do an hour workout usally try that maybe 1hr biking? u dont have to do it all at once either but for best workout u should do as much u cann!!

biking is a good exercise for your legs and heart. if you hate your body though, I would suggest running or swimming or even jump roping. They are more of an entire body workout and you will burn more calories with any of those. Hating your body is not a terrible thing as long as it makes you want to change it in a healthy way. But be confident in yourself and make sure to notice the change that will occure.

well Heres the thing, You dont always have to bike more, You can try this thing that i’ve done. Its called 500 You have to cut 500 cals from your diet and just exersize the same and stuff. And make sure that you are having more complex sugars instead of simple sugars because those turn into fat and somplex turn into energy.

When a Bolt of Lightning strikes a Body of Water?

I know what a great conductor of electricity water is—-has anyone ever discovered how such a strike may impact the species of widlife (fish—etc) that live in that Lake or River?

 

The effect is very local. I saw a picture (in National Geographic) taken underwater by a scuba diver of lightning hitting the water right next to him. It spreads out in a few feet to nothing.

Why Am I Always So Thirsty??

I drink about 124 ounces of water daily.
I eat very little sodium (under 1000 mg- very hard to do!)
I had my glucose levels checked twice in the past 2 months so I know it is not diabetes

I am thirsty and have dry mouth often.
What else can it be?

 

Diabetes insipidus. - this form of diabetes is not characterized by elevated blood glucose levels, instead there is a deficiency of anti-diuretic hormone (ADH). The cardinal symptom is excessive thirst and highly dilute, frequent urine output. When you get dehydrated, you should normally urinate less and your urine should become more concentrated (clear<yellow<orange<brown). If you have diabetes insipidus your urine will remain dilute (due to the lack of ADH) and you will continue urinating as if you weren’t dehydrated.

So, first I say see your doctor, but as an experiment go 10-12 hours without drinking anything and see if your urine continues to be dilute or if it becomes more concentrated.

Dry mouth can sometimes be from side affects of certain medications or drugs.

The way you breath can also be a cause of your mouth feeling dry, (if you normally breathe through your mouth and not your nose).

It can also be a symptom of nutritional deficiencies (vitamin, riboflavin and Vitamin A).

You should see a doctor if you experience other symptoms along with this one, or if it begins to bother you.

c) Positron emission of Ba–125

 

(a)    235 - U - 92 = 87 - Br - 35 + X + 1 - n - 0

The mass numbers must balance, so the mass number of X must be 235 - 87 - 1 = 147

The proton numbers must balance, so the proton number of X must be 92 - 35 = 57

So X must be 147 - La - 57.

(b) 250 - Cf - 98 + 11 - B - 5 = X + 4 1 - n - 0

The mass number is 250 + 11 - 4 = 257
The proton number is 98 + 5 = 103
So the unknown is 257 - Lr - 103

(c) 125 - Ba - 56 = X + positron

Positron emission results when a proton is transmuted into a neutron, so X is 125 - Cs – 55

What are some cultural-specific ways to conserve water? Could you talk about your own family’s practices regarding water conservation? If you are an international student, you can reflect back on your country’s norms about water conservation.

Looking for specific/different cultures-Is it important to some cultures more than others? Pustuns, Arabs, Persians, Asians- Desi, Orientals, Africans? Native Americans?

 

Culture and ethnicity have nothing to do with conservation.
Anyone, pink, green or purple, can save water. Shut it off while brushing teeth or washing up at the sink. Shut if off while doing dishes. Do NOT water lawns. This is the biggest waste. Grass goes dormant during droughts, it will come back when rain eventually falls. It is vanity to have a perfect green lawn, and a horrible waste of water for something decorative when the nation’s water supplies are dwindling away. Take short showers, get in get washed, wash the hair, get out. Simple, keep it to 10 to 12 minutes.
Water left over in bottles, can be used to water plants and flowers inside and out, or shared with a pet. Do not dump water down the sink. If you take a glass of water finish it or take half next time, you can always get more if you need it.
That’s it…pretty simple.

The most common water conservation/collection system throughout history is a cistern. It can be a huge underground system like those used by the Romans in many cities, or a simple 30 gallon garbage can to collect water from a downspout.
I use my downspouts to fill a 2000 gallon pond.

Will it be treated as an ”accident” ?

An individual on some reasons murdered by being hit by a lorry, will this murder be treated as an accident to receive compensation ?

 

yes. it will be treated as an accident. i cite a recent case. A man who was returning on his motorcycle after deposing in a case. A mini lorry coming from the opposite side hit his bike and the individual died. police registered a case against the driver for negligence, carelessness, and speeding. Meanwhile, the widow of the individual file a plea for the compensation at the court. The court ordered the payment of compensation with interest from the date of filing the case. The insurance company appealed against this order in which it said that the lorry driver had no licence. The death of the individual was a planned murder. The company prayed for cancellation of compensation order. In the court, it is said in its order that the case related to an agreement between the insurance company and the policy holder. The death should be considered as an accident. There was a difference between an unexpected incident and an accident. The court quoted an order of a court in England which directed that a murder in which a gang had killed a cashier in a train and looted the cash he was carrying be treated as an accident for the purpose of compensation. This case also should be treated similarly, the court said.
